Designing an AI ticket dashboard for hotel groups: Zentra
An AI-powered ticket dashboard for hotels with many locations. How the hospitality web app was designed, phase by phase.

An AI-powered ticket dashboard for hotels with many locations.
Project at a glance
- Product: Zentra, a hospitality web app
- Platform: Web
- Software: Figma
- Design system: Light canvas, white cards, pastel data colours and a marker for AI features

The challenge
Hotel managers running several properties needed one place to create, track and resolve service, maintenance and guest tickets, with consistency and accountability across locations.
The UX approach
The work moved through 5 phases: scope, ticket volume, accountability, AI insights and visual system.
1. Scope
The problem. Managers running several hotels deal with service, maintenance and guest tickets spread across properties and teams.
The solution. Framed the product around one web dashboard for every location, with a single ticket search and a short sidebar for the deeper sections.
2. Ticket volume
The problem. A total ticket count hides whether work is piling up or getting closed.
The solution. The Ticket lifetime chart stacks Open, Assigned and Closed per month, with bands linking months to show flow. Date range, filters and export sit on the card.

3. Accountability
The problem. Consistency across locations depends on seeing who handles what and where requests come from.
The solution. Ticket handling lists each staff member with their hotel, ticket count and a message shortcut. Ticket portfolio splits volume into categories such as cleaning, food and concierge.
4. AI insights
The problem. AI output needed to be recognisable and lead to an action, not read as one more chart.
The solution. AI cards such as Risk assessment and Ticket performance carry a star marker and a plain-sentence finding with a suggested fix. A Run optimization agent button sits in the header.

5. Visual system
The problem. A dense, data-heavy screen risked feeling noisy for daily use.
The solution. Used a light canvas, white cards and pastel data colours, keeping strong colour for small status badges and the AI marker.
What the product does
- Ticket lifetime and closing charts
- AI risk and performance insights
- Tickets by staff and hotel
- Ticket portfolio by category

The design system
Light canvas, white cards, pastel data colours and a marker for AI features. The design library on the project page rebuilds the toolbar button, change badge, aI insight card and staff ticket row as components with their variants.
The outcome
An interactive prototype of the dashboard, the ticket list and ticket detail with AI risk assessment, built on a design system that later boards extend to more screens. Zentra is mainly a web app, with a mobile fallback.
